I'm new.

1. What is the biggest bug you've ever killed?
I'm not sure, and I don't think I want to know.

2. What is the strangest/biggest bug you've ever come across?
Used to have tarantulas as a pet when I was a small girl. I remember them being very nice, slow creatures, and I was surprised at how not gross and not scary they were. In fact, I used to be fine with bugs until....

3. Share your scariest bug experience.
I've just moved into a new apartment. That's right folks - ROACHES. They're german, they're nasty, and I'm scared to death. I've contacted the landlord and it's taking a loong time to get the spray man over, and it sounds like you don't get rid of them, you sustain their growth - if you're lucky, and if your neighbors don't have a roach farm in their own home.

My shower is their nightclub, and the bathroom is the only place I've seen them so far. I keep all food and water in the fridge, no matter what, and showers tend to be an hour long procedure of killing cockroaches and then trying not to cry while finally taking the shower, eyeing the drain and imagining them running up in thousands.

Oh noes! As I understand it, you usually only have two choices when faced with cockroach infestation: make a Zen-like peace with the fact or move. They're usually just an aesthetic pest, fortunately, and with dilligent cleaning you can at least keep their numbers down.

Personally, most bugs creep me out but I think cockroaches are kinda cute. Like a bug built from a really tiny erector set. Plus, they explode really satisfyingly when you smack 'em.

Tell us if the pesticide works.
my big problem besides having mini heart attacks is that I wake up almost unable to breathe. Truns out they can affect a person with asthma. :(
Huh. Now that I did not know.
aww, you poor thing! i can relate to the mini heart attacks, i recently found a freaking HUGE roach in my bathroom and i hyperventilated, cried, and hugged myself for like 45 minutes. luckily we don't have an infestation. the land lord claims they are flying wood roaches that just happen to wander in. but if they were constantly everywhere and all over the shower, gah i dont even know. thats just awful!
this makes me feel a lot better.. thank you for your care! That's something I haven't been able to get much of.
i spoke too soon...the very night after i commented to you, i saw the biggest one yet. im depressed and i want to cry!
iv hope it makes you laugh - im a singer and just sang tonight "I've got you under my skin" and dedidcated it to the roaches.
I'm just too sad lol
Get some Boric Acid from the hardware store and sprinkle it all over your apartment. It's a great old fashioned roach kiler.
